The day began in Kerikeri where Bride and Groom preparation took place, dark clouds were gathering and light was poor.
By the time the ceremony began in Totara North, it was a fraction after three PM. The light was poor, fading fast and rain was now falling.
Of course; rain will not show up well in video and photography unless the camera is set up to specifically capture rain. The poor light is the down side. Post wedding photography plans had to be changed as the barge ridge along the shores of the Whangaroa harbor and other photographic opportunities were lost. It was decided that we would spend more time filming and photographing the wedding reception at Doves Bay in Kerikeri, Bay of Islands.
It all worked out in the end with approximately 40 minutes of finished video for the wedding ceremony and roughly the same for the wedding reception.
Images were shot in raw format so it was possible to render tons very good quality images considering the poor light.
All in all the weather did not dampen spirits and the day went very well.
