Calvin and Vivi's wedding was rather a rush job for them. Having only arrived in the bay of Islands from China just a few days before, there was very
little time for planning. The wedding took place Paihia 4 days after Christmas. We had only quickly met with Calvin and Vivi a couple of days prior
to discuss their plans. So far, they had been able to book us for the wedding photography and videography along with the
church in Paihia for the wedding itself.
The question now was post wedding photography. We suggested a few options; one of which was the boat ride with a video and photo shoot
out on Roberton Island, in the Bay of islands.
The island was the pick. The wedding took place at 1:30 pm at the St Paul's Anglican
Church, and the boat left Paihia wharf at 2:30 pm.
The trip out was a real treat for our newlyweds. The sea breeze was up with its accompanying chop as we steamed out past Russell with
Paihia over our stern and Waitangi to Port. Roberton Island came into view as we rounded Tapeka point. With Russel well behind us, we
entered sheltered waters off Roberton, and went ashore. In total the photograhy and videography took 4 hours by the time we arrived back at
